In order to realize all your orders in an optimised way we have defined our technical standards.

When creating your digital data we ask you for considering the following points compiled in our technical description:

Single guideline specifications

In case of asymmetric sizes the back and front side have to be positioned accordingly

Please attach a obligatory colour proof so that we can adjust your data material to the special facts of the coaster print. Due to the special cardboard characteristics of a coaster possible high dot gains have to be taken into consideration.

Please attach a colour print of each side with the according colour information (Pantone colours can be only printed in the “U” version)

Please use one of the following programs for preparing the artwork: InDesign, Illustrator, Quark Xpress, Freehand, Photoshop, CorelDraw (until version 11)

Please do not integrate image components into the documents but make them available as connections in the sizes .psd, .tiff, .eps or .dcs in the colour modi Bitmap, Grey shades, CYMK or Duplex

All data materials should only contain defined special colours and CYMK colours

Only lines with a minimum size of 0,1 mm are used

Please attach all scripts used or convert them into paths: the minimum size of negative scripts must be at least 8 bold

Please compile all colour elements in that way that all surfaces are overfilled. The brighter colour elements have to be marked with a contour of 0,25 pt that then will be overprinted

Postscript and PDF data files are not suitable for the prepress processes.

Colour prints / specification of colours
The colour prints contain all necessary information concerning the colours to be used.

Used programs and operations systems
Your artwork has been made in the programs INDesign, illustrator, Quark XPress or Freehand and the Mac operating system has been used. In case of Corel Draw only versions up to 11 were used. In that case also all scripts have been converted to paths.

Completeness of all data elements
All connected data elements of the document like scripts (also used in the EPS documents), images or graphics are saved on the data medium. In case of graphics in the EPS format (Windows section) all scripts have been already changed into paths.

Connections
All connections in the saved layout data file have been actualised and are correct

Document structure
The size of the documents corresponds to the final total size of all single elements. Please notice an additional cutting area of 2 mm for all elements that extend to the margin.

Special Size
In case of asymmetric special sizes the front and the back side have to be reflected.

Colours
Only defined special colours and CMYK colours have been defined. RGB are already converted. Pantone colours can be only printed in the “U” version.

Trapping / Overfilling
The parameters that will be taken over during the exposure are exactly defined. When the data material was handed over a corresponding information was given to us.

Image data material
The image data material correspond to the sizes TIFF, EPS or DCS and also to the colour modus vivendi Bitmap, Grey Shades, CMYK or DUPLEX

Thickness of lines
Only lines with a minimum size of 0.1 mm are used

Different languages / text
Instruments for text and language alterations are prepared and the way of production is coordinated with us

Postscript- and PDF data files
No Postscript or PDF data files are accepted

Additional remarks
The montage surfaces contain only necessary elements. – Not used elements have to be removed.

Special remarks
There are special advices necessary; you have added such remarks to your completion certificate.
